Live music is thankfully going through a bit of a resurgence at the moment and Stratford has some venues that are doing a great job of supporting local bands as well as booking some more established acts. Cox's Yard is probably Stratford's best known live music venue with a fantastic variety of bands, accoustic nights, top cover bands and even comedy nights to keep you coming back for more. Stratford Jazz has been going for over 20 years and is dedicated to putting on high quality modern Jazz in an intimate setting allowing maximum enjoyment of listeners and performers alike. Entrance is ususally between £6-£10. For details of performers and a full gig guide visit their web site.
Global Gathering is without doubt Stratford's largest music event last year this massive dance music event attracted over 75,000 people and is on target to grow that number even more this year. Global gathering attracts the biggest names in dance and 2008 is no exception with artist such as Kanye West, Moby and Proteus already confirmed.
