Stratford-Upon-Avon: Stratford Town Walks

The Greenway

This is just outside of town and probably not on most tourists list of things to visit but it is well worth having a stroll down if you are feeling a little bloated from all those cream teas. It is basically an old railway line that has been converted into a walkway that goes through the countryside from Stratford to Long Marston (approx 5 miles). There is a cafe in an old railway carriage halfway along that offers welcome sustenance. The route is really picturesque and is the ideal place for cycling or walking your faithful friend. If your just visiting the area or don't have your own bike you can hire one from Stratford Bike Hire. They will arrange to deliver the bike to you so that you can make the most of your time and not have the hassle of arranging to collect and drop off your cycle.
