Built in 1514 my Mary's grandfather Robert Arden Mary Arden's house was the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden.

Now owned and ran by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust the house forms part of an attraction that includes a large farmhouse named Palmer's farm which was actually originally believed to have been Mary Arden's house before further investiagation discovered that this was not the case.

Please note, Mary Arden's Farm will be closed for essential repairs from 2 November 2009 - 22 March 2010
