Historic Chain Ferry

Stratford's historic chain ferry has been faithfully transporting the public across the river for the last 72 years.

The ferry, named Malvolio after a character from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, is a popular tourist site and has recently been painstakingly rebuilt at a cost of £25,000.

The ferry is in service from the Ferry crossing, River Avon, Southern Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon which is near the Courtyard Theatre and the bowls club.
