Stratford-Upon-Avon: English Restaurants

Having previously eaten at Edward Mooons I and 8 friends booked for New Years Eve. The menu was set (but extensive) with Scallops served with wild mushrooms and a Strawberry salad, Duck Spring Rolls included within the starters section. The Scallops in particular were excellent. The Restaurant is famed for its Rack of Lamb served on a bed of mashed potato and side of vegetables. Having had this several times in the past I decided to to for something different and went for the Fillet steak served with a potato confit and vegetable medley. This I must say was superb and the sauce contained a wonderful stilton flavour which accompanied the dish expertly. Puddings were the English jewel Sticky Toffee Pudding which I am told went down rather well together with my personal favourite Bred and Butter Pudding with a hint of Cointreau,lovely! Good choice of wines and beers to be had! Service very attentive and friendly. In my local experience among the top 3 restaurants in the town! My advice, book now!!
